Embedded VHDs - w3.1, w98
Inside XP VM, Inside w7 VM
This is a VirtualBox VHD with a Windows 7 VM running a Windows XP VM which runs a Windows 98 VM and Windows 3.1 VM (with a Calmira shell).
The VHD size is only 3.5GB and this has been zipped down to 1.3GB for easier downloading.
The Windows 7 VM was created with VirtualBox 6.1.26 but the Windows XP VM inside was created with VirtualBox (Portable) 4.2.16 as this version is more XP friendly.
I've added a different display driver in Windows 98 that provides better display options although you may need to update the display driver in Windows 3.1 with the Calmira shell.
As it's only 3.5GB unzipped it will run OK on a Fat32 system such as Windows XP - drag the portable version of VirtualBox out of the w7 VHD in the zip and use that to load the VHD (the Windows 7 version of Guest Additions is 6.1.26 so leave that as is rather than downgrade to Guest Additions 4.2.16).
(Press "Cancel" to ignore the Windows 98 login prompt when it appears).
Made out of curiosity to see what's possible with less than 3.5GB of RAM and a VHD size of 3.5GB.
